Kensington & Chelsea Council has formed a Commission on Retail Conservation in an attempt to see what can be done to preserve the character of our neighbourhood shopping areas and reduce the cloning effect apparent on major high streets. The Commission is chaired by former Mayor, Councillor Tim Ahern, and includes Sir Terence Conran, Andrew Ashenden, Chief Executive of Howard de Walden Estates and Peter Simon, chairman of fashion retailer, Monsoon.
